In my opinion, my wife's hometown in southern New Jersey now looks the best that it has looked since I first visited. Downtown appears to be more vibrant and visually attractive than I remember it being during previous decades. One exception though is the northern approach into town where there were as many as four active gas stations within a two-block area years ago. Now only one is still hanging in there while the others are abandoned and have become unsightly. They are ghosts of the past!
