Purple-Rumped sunbird is a small bird found abundantly in Indian Subcontinent. They often seen hoping and hovering through flowers searching for nectar. Female Purple-Rumped sunbird is light grayish-brown above and lemon-yellow below whereas the male has an eye-catching green metallic crown with dark brown body, a purple rump and lemon-yellow underparts.
