Kathkali Dancer applying makeup
Whilst in Kochi we visited the traditional dance centre. The traditional dance of the region requires bright makeup and heavy traditional costumes and the dance itself is very stylised. This dancer sat cross legged on the stage showing how the makeup was applied. They encouraged photography and the sharing of the images.
