A strange combination but the man has to earn a living. He sells seasonal plastic toys, since his stand is by the seaside, and cochayuyo. This is Chilean seaweed, it has an intensely salty and marine aroma, and it is a traditional ingredient of southern Chilean cuisine, especially on the coasts. We ate "ceviche de cochayuyo", Peruvian style concoction, and it was delicious.
