Friður (Peace)
I was traveling along the southern coast of Iceland and spotted a few horses grazing near the cliffs. Icelanders wiped out most large mammals long ago, but these beauties remain. In a time when Iceland struggles to deal with overtourism, I got the sense that this peaceful and idyllic scene could have been seen now or hundreds of years ago. The scene gave me a sense of wonder and calm which is exactly what drew me to this place. This photo was taken in October 2018 near Höfn, Iceland.
