    During my visit to Japan earlier this year I had my first direct experience with the colours and sounds in a bamboo forest. The colours are subtle as the light and shadows are softened by the numerous tree trunks of the bamboo trees and their gentle leaves. When taking this photo I wanted to capture the playful and gentle patterns of the light and shadow in the bamboo forest at sunset.
