Newland Head and Waitpinga Beach are on the south coast of Fleurieu Peninsula, and face onto the Southern Ocean. This coast has some fine surfing beaches as well as steep cliffs and rocky headlands. It is also about only an hour and a half's drive south of Adelaide.
