Cotopaxi. Picture taken in 2009 from the elevation of 4800 meters. It was a part of my family longer trip to Ecuador that included Galapagos. Cotopaxi is an active stratovolcano in the Andes Mountains, Ecuador. Elevation 5,897 m (19,347 ft). The last eruption lasted from August 2015 to January 2016 so, it doesn’t look like in the picture anymore. I’d love to visit it again to see how it looks now.
