Duck Island
So one of the fun outings in Alaska was to a place called Duck Island named long before they actually knew what was inhabiting this little island was actually the rare Puffin. Behind it was the Volcano Redoubtsuch a site and great that we had such a clear day to see it. The Puffin such animated birds lay one egg a season with long term mates and after the young fledge they go to float the long winter in the open waters of the Bering Sea a hard existence for these amazing birds!
