Return of a solitary explorer to the platform on Aiguille du Midi (3842m), one of the peaks on Mont Blanc Massive. Most arrive here using the cable car, however, at this altitude oxygen is low and many feel its effects. The rugged beauty and the roaring sounds of the shifting ice leaves an impression which one will not forget, and for some like me it is the start of a new journey.
