This photo of Giraffes was taken at night at one of the many waterholes (Okaukuejo) in Etosha. Etosha is towards north in Namibia in Kunene region. It has an area of 22270 sq. kms with 5000 sq. kms of depression in its heart. Once was a large inland lake, fed by rivers. It dried up 120 million years ago, from continental drift, which changed the slope of the land and the course of tributaries. It is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles.
