Whilst at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in Iceland last week, we photographed the setting midnight sun. The lagoon is full of pieces of ice which have fallen from the glacier behind it. I became fascinated by the light and shadows created the ice, when the setting sun was placed directly behind it. This close crop of a single piece of ice creates an abstract, almost like a night-time image of an island from space.
