    The Equa was built in 1929 in Naples as a merchant ship (or passengers according to other sources), in 1940 it was requisitioned by the Royal Navy during the Second World War and armed and adapted as a military ship. In 1943 it was requisitioned by Kriegsmarine and then sold to the Italian Social Republic. It is located on a stretch of sand, in navigation trim, at over forty meters, the part closest to the surface, the upper deck, is about thirty-four meters. The wreck is located about two miles
