I was out on my kayak today (July 1) hoping to get some good shots for the Visual Diary assignment. There is an osprey roost with three young osprey near the launch. Most of the time, the female adult sits on the nest with the young while the male is out hunting. Today, shortly after I launched the female adult took flight for a quick spin around the Potomac before coming back. This shot was made while panning with osprey and at a "lowish" shutter speed resulting in "motion" in the shot.
