The Gilbert Water Park is a group of reclamation ponds near my home in Arizona. The ponds have become a favorite spot for many migrating birds and, therefore, birding photographers. Egrets often appear standing stoically in groups, but this lone one was on the prowl, probably for food, among the other occupants of the pond. Many shots later, this was my favorite.
