Flame of Despair behind Glossy Glare
I wanted to try to compose a still life portrait, but I wanted it to be different, so I placed it outside in memory of my grandma who always began and ended her day in her rose garden (after 12 hours of nursing.) I also wanted the picture to be provocative, so I found this chapter in an antique book, and it so saddened me, thinking of my loved ones who could relate to its portrayal of the need to be valued and loved by others, despite dreams that burn independently inside.
