I finally saved up enough for my first big lens, a 400mm 2.8. Even though the 90+ degree temps in Portland (and the unfortunately far-off distance) were not ideal (and made for rather soft photos), it was hilarious fun watching the Great Egrets posture and prance and generally 'mess' with one another.
