    If you look past the spot of gore on its face and faded bloodstains on its neck the hyena is quite an appealing creature. They may walk a little oddly and squabble a lot but they are social and it's quite comforting to listen to their calls during the night, This little group had just killed, or stolen, a bush pig and were fighting over the spoils and making a range of giggles and yips. The sound of those powerful jaws crunching straight through bone is not quite so comforting though...
