On my recent trip to Madrid I went to the San Miguel Market, the city's gastronomic temple, and I fell in love with all the different flavors and aromas. I come from a Spanish family, and I felt truly connected to my roots. I decided to photograph "brochetas," or shish kebabs, which are one of my favorite Spanish "tapas" because they taste delicious and can be made in many different ways.
