Apple iPhone 7. Afternoon. This isn't a happy encounter with Spanish tradition. I headed to the beach in Valencia, without my Canon, when I was offered free tickets to enter the bullfighting arena. After 10 minutes of demonstrating their skill, the bull was killed and I departed the arena. I am unsure how this photo rests with my own ethics but it fits the theme "Rites of Passage." In Spain many young men, like those pictured here, are asked to perform a bull fight as part of their examination.
