    Reported by:

The wild ponies of Grayson Highlands State Park roam freely in the mountains of Virginia and are only a few hands tall. They are intensely curious and I resorted to burying myself, belly down, in the snow between the rocks with my wide angle lens and waited for them to take notice. I would’ve never imagined I’d be caught in a storm on the ridge rising in the distance on the following day and the clear skies framed this pony perfectly as it emerged from dense shrubs to have a closer look at me.
