Artist’s Pallet Moonrise
A stunning full moon rising above Artist’s Pallet in Death Valley National Park this past March. Death Valley is a certified Dark Sky Park, meaning they have taken significant measures to minimize light pollution. We hiked “cross country” to the site, so there was no trail to follow. The full moon was able to brightly light our trek back to the car from high above the valley floor, creating a serene, unique night that few get to experience. It was our first full moon hike in our 4 year marriage.
