Exploring the Vatnajokull Glacier in Iceland was a spectacular adventure which humbled me greatly; not only did I find myself immersed in a fragile but beautiful world of crevices and caves, I realized how precious our planet is as I touched the walls of ice tunnels which I learned would vanish within the next decade. As the atmosphere heats up, the Vatnajokull Glacier will shrink exponentially until all that's left are memories of one of Europe's most magnificent treasures.
