Powerful Gullfoss Fed by Icecap Melt
One of the must stops in Iceland is Gullfoss waterfall. The source of the water is in part from the melting icecap Langjokull feeding the Hvita River. The Icecap is shrinks at a rate of one meter per year. The scene is powerful and inspiring but sadly the partial result of icecap melt and global warming. Note the people left center picture. To capture the power of the waterfall on this drizzly day it was shot on shutter priority at 1/6,400 sec +0.7 stop with the aperture at f/4 and ISO 1600.
