Mount Kenya has a special place in my heart. A sacred Mountain to my tribe. After climbing its slopes over and over again for 5 years straight, I was bestowed the rank of a guide. The greatest honor I get is witnessing a genuine moment of happiness and achievement when travelers from all over the world get defy all odds and successfully make it to the summit (Point Lenana); tears of joy and accomplishment while they say, "Thank you! Thank you Joe for showing us your beautiful Home".
