This chic of Yellow Wattled Lapwing, that are the ground nesting bird was just out of its mother's care to check its surroundings. Both the parents were very watchful of its moves and were calling it all around to stay close. It is fun to watch them take their own steps out in such vulnerable environment. Lapwings though are very protective of their territories and mob and attack any predator of even bigger size than them. One of the parent, even tried to distract me while taking this photo.
