During my late afternoon strolls along Liberty State park, I enjoy sitting down by the waterfront and contemplate the views of the Hudson river, the Manhattan skyline, and the mosaic of people visiting this area of the park. On this afternoon, I stood next to a mother who was visiting with her mentally disabled child and other family members. She sat by the river with her son in his wheelchair, encouraging him to feel the splashing water and soak in the views... A happy moment for them both.
