After years of fewer and fewer bees, this summer the bees are back bringing hope for the future of continuous pollination of the world's food supply! As each new magnolia blossom gradually unfurls, bees arrive to gather the pollen. They pluck the stamens off of the carpels, dropping or pushing them down onto the petals and then roll around on the petals, tossing the stamens and pollen over themselves.
