Straw-necked ibis feather pattern abstra
Blue colors and iridescence in feathers is a function of how light refracts off of internal crystals, not actual pigment (in most cases). The pheasants and this ibis are good examples of birds with these feather characteristics. The slower shutter speed and the moving of the bird lends a softness to this image I feel is more interesting than a sharply focused image.
