The Jalebi Jumble
Jalebi is a very popular savory sweet found in South Asia. It is made by squeeze pouring maida flour in hot oil in circular shapes to deep fry and then it is soaked in sugar syrup. It is generally served crispy and piping hot and best eaten with curd. India has perfected its form - crispness, color and the sticky sweetness.
As we were climbing up a row of stone staircase towards a shrine in Kashmir, India we found a boy selling these piping hot Jalebis piled up to form a wall of sweetness
