Newhouse Building-First skyscraper
Next to the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UT runs a little historic block called Exchange Place. It hosts old architecture and new modern art, making it visually delightful. This building, the Newhouse, has a twin just across the sidewalk. Both skyscrapers (the first in the Utah Valley) were a symbol of Utah's entry into the business world with with delicately carved stonework (buffalo, known to live in the valley long ago are represented) and well as other industrial carvings.
