Yesterday we bought a new reading lamp that clips to the side of the bed, leaving behind the old flimsy, battery dead, booklight. As I walked in to say goodnight to Haakon I saw him laying on his belly reading a new book, The Candymakers, by the light of his new lamp. Sometimes these simple moments are the most beautiful of all...an open book and child's profile highlighted by the glow of a clip-on bulb.
