    It is a delicate balancing act and truce between the Bakken energy fields in North Dakota and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, as shown in this scene from the park's South Unit. From a rise, I took this photo in June, 2019 of a group of grazing wild mustangs, backed by a Bakken drilling unit just outside the park boundary.
