Chicago has approximately 27 Farmer’s Markets in parks and plazas. They run from May 1 to November 1. My Saturday routine is to walk my dog, Rosie to the lakefront where she can play at the beach. I stop at the Farmers Market on the walk home. My favorite time is the peach harvest. I enjoy chatting with the grower and was told by him that this years crop will be small due to the wet spring. I wish I could buy more but I’m limited by how much I can carry the last mile and a half home.
