Austria's highest peak, 3798 m a.s.l. It is located in Glossglocknergruppe, a subgroup of the Hohe Tauern, part of the Central Alps. Grossglockner belongs to the Crown of Europe. Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe - part of the Grossglockner Alpine Road - Hochalpenstrase. Its end is located near the Pasterze glacier at an altitude of 2369 m in the parking lot below the peak.
