    Reported by:

Boomslangs are native to Africa and have a highly neurotoxic venom. They are mostly arboreal and cryptic so rarely ever come into conflict with people. Coloration can vary by region, but males are mostly bright green though females, like this young specimen, are mostly a light brown. Boomslangs are rear-fanged and usually strike prey and wait for it to succumb to the toxin which prevents clotting. This day she had struck a chameleon and dangled from the tree, watching till she could devour it.
