Giant Tortoises on Mahe
Tortoises in a pen at the Coral Strand Hotel, Mahe Island, Seychelles. The Seychelles are the home to the Aldabra Giant Tortoise. These, however are the Seychelles Giant Tortoise that are a sub-species. They are kept in these pens for their own protection and to prevent them from finishing off the vegetation on the islands!
