This "smiling" Orange Meadowhawk Dragonfly made me smile! It is able to "smile" due to its frons (the frontal area of an insect's head above the mouth parts). Dragonflies have been around for about 300 million years. They are natural pest controllers and consume 10 percent to 15 percent of their own weight per day on insects such as mosquitoes, termites, deerflies, blackflies, horseflies and midges. And sometimes you'll even get service with a smile!
