Several deer seemed to line Ramsey Canyon Road in the Huachuca Mountains of southeast Arizona. I was visiting friends again on this afternoon when this doe to my eye did appear. Residences in the valleys leading higher into the mountains tend to feature yards filled with native plants, and with free access by wildlife. It permits residents to balance work life with a richness of nature not found most places.
