New flower buds mark the start of Spring. This dark burgundy bud caught my eye in the late afternoon sun. A sign of new life and hope. So beautiful in its perfectly formed bud. Awaiting full sun to draw the petals open. I marvel at the stunning design that bursts forth each Spring.
