Sometimes the women work harder than the men - they really put their backs into it! Here the three of them are cutting drains along the side of the dirt road we cut at our place in Ella before the heavy rains that are expected next month. The earth moves around and rain always finds the lowest channel to play havoc with the road, cutting deep furrows - so these drains are essential to keep it motorable.
