Recently I went on a 2 day boat tour around Komodo National Park, Indonesia where we would visit many stunning spots. That evening we anchored near a village for dinner on a deck. Within minutes we saw local boys paddle in canoes towards our boat. They were selling local handicrafts like magnets and figures. They were all smiling ear to ear , chatting with us in broken English. One of those moments when you realize a happy childhood has different meanings depending where you come from.
