Sun Dog over Abel Tasman Memorial , N.Z.
This photo was taken in January 2011 as a very distinct sun dog passed over the Abel Tasman Memorial in Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand. In Canada a sun dog quite often means a change in weather. The next day a small cyclone passed over the north shores of the South Island.
