Decorating the bride
A henna artist draws an intricate pattern on the bride's feet. This design took 5+ hrs of freehand work. The paste dries for several hours and scraped off after the dye has worked its magic. The next 48 hours will darken it to a rich maroon, which the bride will sport on her wedding day.
