I recently spent an early morning wandering around Thingayun Market southeast of downtown Yangon. This adorable young boy seemed to be enjoying a little break after the exhausting daily struggle of helping mom carry the produce and set up shop. Throughout Myanmar, many children work out of necessity. The daily struggle to survive is often met with astonishingly good humor and the Buddhist belief that one is at a particular station in life as a result of their actions in a previous life.
