    These are ancient paintings painted on the ceiling of the central of the kailash temple Ellora, Maharastra depicting life of Shiva. The Temple is dedicated to the lord shiva and dates back to 756CE. Built by the Rastrakuta dynasty ,the temple was curved out of a single monolith basalt rock.
