As an environmental consultant and journalist, I participated in Marriott Hotel's sea turtle conservation in Cancun, Mexico on a travel writing trip in 2011 by assisting in its hatchling release. Having just hatched, one posed with perfect timing as it eagerly seeked water for its pumping flippers.
