    I love this cypress in the gentle countryside of Tuscany. I have shot it many times, in different seasons. I submit two shots for this assignment. I find it very symbolic, ancient and eternal: a pure shape standing in the middle of a nowhere land. It gives my the impression of a living force getting solid from the mother earth.

    This picture for me is simple, elegant and gorgeous. The mist creates a huge soft box of light that mutes the landscape with only a hint of the rolling hills being revealed. The tree in the center gives me a sense of being grounded in a landscape where you could otherwise float away.
