I was so fortunate this year to visit Butrint, Albania and learn all about my ancestry. This baptistery is completed by a complex and artistic mosaic pavement. It is absolutely mind-blowing how such ancient work has been preserved since the 6th century AD. If you're ever visiting Albania, Burtint will definitely be worth your while, but make sure you plan accordingly, seeing as this intricate and elaborate site is only open every five years!
