Unfortunatelly I have not yet been able to see them in the wild, but Lions have always been one of my favourite animals. I always disagreed with the concept of the male Lion being the King of the jungle, given that these females pretty much do all of the hunting for the prides. I shot this and loved the way it was focusing on something, contemplating, if only we could see through their eyes... I felt like the photograph captured well the power that Lionesses have, not to mention their beauty.
